“Did it work?” Adrian asked.
“No,” I pouted. I plopped down in the chair next to Luke and crossed my arms across my chest. “And I’m out of ideas.” “You tried once,” Luke said. “I actually had two ideas, but only one sounded like it would work,” I corrected. “Clearly, it didn’t.” “Shut up.” “So, what I’m hearing,” Adrian began, “is that you need a plan.” I nodded slowly. “Well, lucky for you, Adrian is full of plans.” I turned to Luke and raised an eyebrow at him. I generally made it a rule not to trust strangers who referred to themselves in the third-person. “I trust him,” Luke said. I looked back at Adrian. “Do your worst.” |
